I have a date!! May 21st. As long as the surgeon's office receives this letter from my HR dept before the 20th, I'm golden. I have preops on the 13th and a meeting with Dr. Valin on the 20th. I'm beyond psyched. I'm just keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the letter gets to them in time. (which I'm sure it will.. Drs. office talked to them today) Pretty sweet huh??

Michelle: That is so great. Best of luck to you. I am sure you will do great. I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Valin. What procedure are you going with? Lap or open? Keep us updated. Chryssie

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I'm excited, a little relieved and now a bit overwhelmed by how much I have to do between now and then.. but it will be worth it. I'm having the laparoscopic RNY (unless I've gained too much weight up top ) I was borderline for it in the first place and since March have put on 8 lbs. and of course, the upper part of my stomach is where it's at. Anyhow.. I've got 2 weeks to get it down, if not, it's the open.. either way, I'm doing it. I'm sooooo ready. I can't wait to feel like the rest of you posties. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of you that are still waiting as well. It will work out eventually. I know it's rough waiting.. a very frustrating thing. Now, off to make my "list" of things I want to know more about, questions, etc. for the surgeon. I want to do this thing up right. Take care!! Michelle
