Can I get a few prayers or 'good thoughts'?
Kathleen
I had my first child at 38 (I know, it's not 43, but still old). I was VERY obese (supid morbidly obese) and was told that I would never be able to get pregnant. Well, I got pregnant on the first try -- one month and BAM !! Then I was sent to a high risk pregnancy doctor because I was told I would have a hellish pregnancy. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I did not have one single problem with the pregnancy. I delivered a beautiful healthy baby boy (not even C section needed) 2 years ago. He is the joy of my life. If I had listened to all the people who told me I was too old or too fat I wouldn't have him. Follow your heart. Do what your heart tells you, whether it's pregnancy or adoption. You'll know what's right when the time comes.
and no, 43 is not too old. I plan to have another child when my WLS journey is complete (I'm only 4 weeks post op now)
Good luck and God Bless
You know that I will be praying for you! Been there and did that, so I completely understand all that you (and your hubby) are/will be going through!
I will say, however, that the 2 beautiful little boys we adopted from Russia 2 years ago more than make up for any infertility issues we had in the past.
If anyone ever wants to talk to me about adoption - please feel free. We had a very successful experience and an excellent agency.
Keeping you in my prayers. . ..

Lisa:
I am wishing you the best of luck. You will be in my prayers. I went thru the Clomid and the inseminations. I now have a 4 year old son. The best advise I can give you is to stay relaxed. I know this is easier said then done. Just try to relax and enjoy your life and the rest will follow.
