Support meetings around CT?

Hi Nutmegers! I had my open RNY on 3.3.04 and for one good reason or another I haven't made it to a support group meeting yet. I had surgery at UCONN and it looks like I'm going to miss this month's too unless my town gets it's act together with the budget. I was wondering if anyone could tell me when and where other support meetings are in CT? Bristol Hospital? New Britain General? Southington? Thanks in advance. becky (396)330/293.5/175

Oh yeah, any of the Hartford area hospitals will be appreciated.

Not too far down the road (Route 9)is Middlesex Hospital. Group meetings 2nd thru 5th Mondays open to pre and post-ops, and post ops only 1st and 3rd Wed. Meetings @ 7pm.

Becky, If you had your surgery at UConn then you should have been told that we have a support group coming up this Monday at 6:30. We have them every month. Second Monday. They are great. They are held in the Research building and we'd love to have you!!! Please come. You get to the Research Building by going to the Academic Entrance and going to the right hand side and park and you'll see the people going in. Hope to see you there Cheryl

Cheryl - I'd LOVE to be at Monday night's meeting but if my presence is necessary at the Plainville town meeting (the residents voted down the budget last Monday so I may need to be present to vote on the revised budget if the cuts aren't restored), I may need to miss the UCONN meeting again. I missed the last one because I was sick and the one before that because I had just gotten out of the hospital that day. I didn't know I could attend pre-op. I'm just looking for alternatives because the once a month seems to be becoming a problem for me. Hope to see you if/whenever I do make it! becky
