New to CT and looking for a Support Group

Hi, I am new to CT, live in Wethersfield just outside of Hartford. I was just wondering if there is a support group in the area that I can hook up with? I had surgery in September of last year in England, where I was living. I had an Open RNY and to date have lost 190 pounds. Any information for a support group would be appreciated. Cheers, Gen

Gen-- Welcome to our board! You'll find some incredible people here. We have a support group at UConn Health Center the 2nd Monday of every month. You can email me for more details if you'd like. A support group is so important, it really keeps me on track and I have made amazing friends. It's at 6:30 located in the Research Building. There is a open meeting the 2nd through 5th Mondays at Middlesex hiospital. Post-op group oly meets 1st and 3rd Wed. 7PM.

I go to Middlesex meetings, which someone already posted info on... But, I wanted to say WELCOME! We're glad to have you! I hope you like Wethersfield and your new home in CT.

Hello Gen, Welcome to CT, I had the LAPBAND sx on 4/20/2004 but I go to support group at ST Francis Hosp on 1000 Asylum Ave, in the Gengras Auditorium. The following support sessions will be ever last tuesday of the month from 6pm to 8pm.
