I'm Home From Surgery
Hi All,
Well, another 4 days have passed and much more likeable days too! Thanks to you all for your support and humor. It really helps me not feel so alone.
In the last four days, the depression has lifted, I no longer have painful burps, have begun Stage 2 full liquids, was allowed to take back my beloved tomato juice (I don't even mind having it 1 oz. at a time, every 10 minutes!), and I actually have most of my old tops and pants really hanging on me. All this since surgery on April 27, plus dieting 2 weeks prior to that. Boy, has my mood improved!!!!
My biggest goal now is to walk a bit more and not be so afraid of foot/leg cramps. I know I need to exercise. And would you believe it - I'm freezing all the time. I walked out to the mailbox and was so cold, I didn't know what to do. I don't even own a sweater because I am NEVER cold. Plus, I gave away my winter coat right before surgery - sure I'd never wear it again. So I don't have anything but thin weight tops. Oh well!!!
Maybe I will see some of you at the next support group at Norwalk Hospital on May 25 at 6:30pm. It will be my first group meeting. I actaully was supposed to go last night, but needed to stay near the bathroom with more-thana-average diareah.
Well, thanks again to you all and the very best of surgeries and recoveries to everyone!!!
Love,
Linda.
