Getting a little nervous
Mary,
Nerves are normal but you need to keep a level head. You have already weighed your pros and cons and made your decision. What are your chances of living a healthy long life without the surgery? There are complications possible in even the simple surgeries, this surgery does not present anything complications that aren't present with anything else really. No one can tell you what to do. You need to be comfortable with your decision not with what other people think. This is a chance you have chosen to take. Walking out your front door each day is a chance.....Take some deep breathes and relax...........

U guuuuuyyys are da bomb!!!!!! I am so lucky to have found this websiste and u guys could get anyone thru anything and I thank u so much. I am feeling better about things and the surgery I know that God is good and he has brought me thru so much.
I know for a fact that I would not be able to live w/o this surgery and I know he is scared for me, but like I told him I have to do this for me not for him.
I have talked to a few people who have had the surgery and they have given me such good advice. I want to thank u guys for the prayers and for the well wishes I really appreciate it and I love u guys!!!!!
I wish I could find a angel
Mary:
Just know that we are all here for you. I am pre-op so I know what you are feeling. What do you feel in your heart? If you choose NOT to have surgery will you really be happy? I know there are complictions to worry about but would you reconsider taking your gall-bladder out if it was medically necessary? Someone who has not walked in "our" shoes really does not fully understand where we are coming from. You will make the best choice for you.
Best Wishes,
Chryssie
Mary -
First, hugs. Second, if you weren't a little scared, I'd think there was something wrong with you. Third, your friend is scared (IMHO) because he is aware that things are going to change -- dramatically. He needs to understand that you've made this decision for YOU and another poster is right, you're not doing this on a whim. You've weighed the pros and cons and made the decision. Would you be able to live if you DIDN'T do this?
Hang in there, Mary. Surgery will go well. There are a lot of us out here thinking of and praying for you.

Mary,
I think having any surgery would make somebody scared. I'm sure that you have put a lot of thought into having this surgery and have made the right decision for you. My only advice that I can give you is to think of the outcome and what you are going to feel like afterwards I think that alone will get you through the next few days. Hang in, you can do this and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please let me know your progress once you get home.
