Summer Get-Together

Hi Everyone, We had a wonderful time at the March get-together. It was great meeting everyone. I know there have been a few suggestions for what to do this summer for a get-together, but I haven't heard if anything has been finalized. A few have offered to have picnics in their back-yards, and there was an idea to go shopping. Summer will be here before we know it - so I thought we should figure out what we will be doing, when and where? Any ideas ? Can't wait to hear from you.... Anything sounds good to me. I think it's agreat idea and know it will be a fun time no matter what we do.. Maggie

I'd love to have a summer get-together! I wish I had a back yard to offer, but mine's way too small. I'm game for anything at all. I'd like it to be something where we can really socialize, rather than having shopping or an amusment park, etc to distract us. But, whatever the group wants is fine. I wonder if there is a local park where we could rent a pavilion?

A summer get-together sounds great! I'd love to be able to make it this time. I unfortunately don't have a back yard big enough to hold more than 4 people(!), but hopefully we can find a good space. I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

Hi Kathy, I agree with Lisa, I really liked the last gathering you had at the Church Hall with the sampling of everyone's different foods and the clothing exchange and getting to know everyone and learning everyone's story I hope we can have the same kind of get together. A pavilion and a cook out might be a good idea. It's just a matter of when and wear and weather permitting. Hopefully we can all put our heads together and come up with something good. Hey Everyone! I would LOVE to have it in my backyard! I have a huge backyard just waiting for partying!! I have a comfy screened in porch as well. So let's go for it!! I will be away part of July so end of July, beginning of August or even June is great for me! Everyone can bring something again and Kathy, if you'd help me, I'd be ever so grateful. You pulled that last one off without a hitch. I live in Burlington, which is pretty middle of the state. So I am hoping everyone can come! Give me some dates ok?? HUGS Cheryl

Sounds like fun! I'd offer up my yard.. but I'm on the Mass and RI borders. I'd be willing to go anywhere to see all of you. I missed out on the last one.. and from what I hear I missed a pretty cool shindig. ;) See ya! Michelle

I'm always up for a little road trip -- it would be great!! I'd really like to meet everyone. I'm a Fairfield County person, but my car takes me wherever I want to go, so I'm flexible. Anything I can do to help in planning, etc., let me know!!! Kathy F.

Hello Everyone, I am game for anything. Guess I am just a animal!! My niece's wedding is July 17th so any other weekend than that works for me. I don't mind traveling but I don't want to rule out more than one get together. Guess I am just in need of being around folks and getting the support. Sooooo if we want to plan more than one get together I would be happy to help out or just do it. Cheryl, your offer sounds terrific, would be lots of fun and give folks alot of opportunity to chat. There are also some park pavilions around New Haven that we could rent very reasonably if folks want me to check into that. I also would be up for just an impromptu get together someplace where we don't have to plan much. Linda
