HELP! Me Being WORRYWART ??!! :-$
Good Morning Everybody,
I need your advice to help me to feel less worry about my anniversary vacation on April 3, 2005. After I went to Group Support for Dr. Aranow, I got more worried because I do not know if I can go to Cruise since I will go to Dr Aranow's seminar on May 12. How long do you think I will get surgery date ? I hope to make an appointment to see dr as soon as possible after attending seminar? :angust: I hate to disappointment my husband by cancelling this DEAF CRUISE because I do not know when my surgery will be and how long I will be well for going on Cruise... Call me WORRYWART PERSON
By the way, At group support last night are very helpful and I will go back on May 10th to listen about excerise issue. It was nice to see people who had Gastric Bypass, look more happier and more healthier. I hope I will be next shoe in the future.
Thank you for listening my panic worry about my vacation in April 3, 2005.
Kathy
Kathy, the cruise isn't until next year; Right? You should be all set with your surgery and hopefully have the hang of what your new pouch will tollerate! I am only 5 1/2 months post-op and still had a good time in jamaica. Did gain a couple of pounds, but have since lost them! I think the drinks are what did it. Stuck with mostly the protein and veg. So things weren't too bad. Plus flying was not such a chore! I am quite a bit slimmer and didn't feel like I was taking over my husband's seat. Plus I am sooo much more comfortable with me and these wonderful changes the surgery have brought! Don't worry! Concentrate on you and getting healthy! The rest will fall into place!
It sounds to me like you'll have no trouble at all when the time comes for your cruise.
And we ALL are worry warts before we have the surgery, and for some time after. It's normal. But it sounds to me like you'll be in great shape by the time the cruise comes along. AND you'll be looking nice in a bathing suit!!

Hi Kathy!
Don't worry about it.
Keep your trip planned.
I went to my first meeting in October, had my consultation in January, and now my surgery will be in May.
So figure, that is a total of seven months. You should be good to go!
You will probably be on the losing side by the end of the year.
Good luck with everything!
It was nice seeing you last night.
Christine
