Now on Clear Liquids Pre-Op
I'm on the home stretch now. Started my 3 days of clear liquids this morning, after almost 2 weeks of 1000 calorie a day dieting. I'm pretty stressed - really missing even the diet foods. But I'm determined to get myself the most fit for the surgery on Tuesday April 27. It'll be at Norwalk Hospital and my doctor is Dr. Tim Ehrlich.
I'm excited and scared stiff and these last few days I feel like I'm in a fog - like this whole thing is not real. I guess it will be pretty darned real on Tuesday morning.
Looking forward to all the good things that come from being healthy again. Most of you are on your way. So, the very best to you all and thanks for your support over the last few months, where I've posted a few times.
Take care,
Linda.
Hi Gina,
I actually like Dr. Ehrlich a lot. The first two meetings I had with him, he had one of the physician's assistants in with us each time. I almost felt like I was on display, responding to two people, when I really wanted that one-on-one talk, you know? We just sat and went over all of my paperwork and discussed what I wanted to have done (lap gastric byapss). I didn't feel strongly about him one way or another. I was just hoping he was going to be a good surgeon.
But then when I had my pre-op visit with him a week ago Wednesday, he and I met one on one and I felt VERY at ease with him and found him very personable and he answered all my last minute questions to my complete satisfaction. He really worked at reassuring me, since I told him how nervous I am about this whole thing.
Did you already attend one of the seminars at Norwalk Hospital where he and Dr. Floch talk to everyone and give a slide show? I went to that back in early September. Where are you in your journey to WLS? I'd love to hear back from you.
If you want to know any specific details about Dr. Ehrlich, please just ask.
I hope you have the very best of luck!!!
Thanks.
Linda.
