Thanks for asking Kathy, I do actually have 2 dresses and two pair of shoes for the wedding!!! . Actually I got both dresses on sale so neither was over $50, one is pink and the other lavender. They are both size 16 and I guess which ever one fits will be the one I wear. I have this sneaky suspicion though that they both might be too big by July!!!! Wouldn't that be a hoot?? . I won't feel badly though it would be great!! Glad your husband is helping you out. I know it will be difficult for your family while you are in the hospital but it will only be a couple of days and then you can be back home directing traffic!! You know if you have any questions or just want to chat, just email me or post it here. I will be glad to help you out in any way I can. Take care and don't work too hard tomorrow. Linda

Hi everyone. Glad to see everyone is making progress more or less. Let's all keep our heads up and our eyes on the goal. I am waiting for my group meeting with Dr. Aranow May 26th. I wi**** were yesterday. The waiting is tough. I just want to get moving and get this behind me and start losing. Meanwhile I have been working hard to try to quit smoking. I've cut down significantly and have a stop date of May 1st. I just hope things move quickly after this meeting when I set my one on one appointment with Dr. Aranow. I wish you all the absolute best and my prayers are with you, Jim

Hey Jim! Nice to have you stop by. I know the waiting was the worst part for me but you will get through it. Have you had your other appointments yet? Nutrition, psych etc??? Time really will pass whether it seems to or not..... Keep your eye on your goals and stop by more often, we can always use a male perspective. Linda

Hey Jim, congratulations on the stopping smoking. I know it's hard, but you'll feel so much better. (I'm on three years now) I know the waiting is tough too, but once you get going it's like a whirlwind and it flies by. Good luck to you, and it's nice to hear from you. Maggie

Hello Linda, Thanks for the roll call! Was wondering what was going on with the ct board? Got back from Jamaica last week, had a wonderful time with JUST THE HUSBAND! Have to get back to basics once in a while. Have been catching up on the yard work and getting things ready for summer. The next big project is to paint the trim on the house. Things are looking a little ragged. Looking forward to meeting you Linda at the New London support meeting! Anyone else going? I just love all the wonderful people. I seem to have hit a plateau, but am still loosing inches, as the clothes are getting loose. So I just keep doing what I need to and keep exercising! I am hoping not to have plastic surgery! So far things are firming up ok, I guess these things take time. I still have 40 more pounds I want to loose! But it seems my hair is what is loosing! have lost almost half! I hope it slows soon! As for the sleep thing, hang in there! I don't have those problems (thank goodness) But have heard it can be really hard!

Hi Everyone! Linda, again, you had such a great idea with the roll call - it's so nice to hear from everyone, and see how well everyone is doing. This weekend I got PHYSICAL. down and dirty!! I helped soem friends move a 29-foot above ground pool, and Sunday I discovered a new hobby, gardening! I planted a weeping cherry tree, planted bulbs and flowers and a retaining wall! A year ago I would have been giving directions from the sidelines, I wouldnt have been able to squat, bend and move up and down like I can now. I'm paying the price this morning becuase I am so sore, but it feels GOOD. I've lost a total of 116 pounds, 5-6 sizes and feel fantastic. I'm registered for the Race in the Park on Mother's Day and my goal is to run it. I don't care how long it takes, I just want to fini**** Keep up the good work everyone, you're all an inspiration!

Hi Debbie!! Sorry I didn't respond sooner but this roll call kind of got away from me. Sounds like you have become a very busy bee these days. Don't you love it??? I admire your entering the race. You go girlfriend . I want to do a walk but am not up to running as yet. I may do a walk in May with some friend for March of Dimes. I am waiting for the weather to break a bit and get out side for a real walk instead of the treadmill..... Well have a great day and lets hear from you more!! Linda

Hi Catherine, Sorry I didn't respond to your post sooner but this roll call kind of got away from me....... You are doing so great!! It will be neat to meet you at the support meeting although I hope you bring some before pics with you!!! Jamaica sounds wonderful.......it must have felt so good to be warm and have some sunshine. Keep up the exercising and I will be right along with you. I don't think all this exercise is going to solve my skin problems but it can't hurt well maybe hurt just a little.......... Linda

Hi all It's great to read all of your posts. I'm pretty new to this (had my surgery on April 5). This weekend I did something that I haven't done in years -- took a long walk. My back didn't hurt, my knees didn't hurt and it felt soooooo good to be outside getting fresh air. I'm still struggling a lot emotionally with the changes, but physically I feel great. I think I'm down about 30 pounds, but we don't own a scale so I just jump on my Mom's when I get a chance. Not sure how accurate it is. By the way, anybody ever have any luck with sprinkling protein powder in food rather than making a shake? If so, what kind works best? I need more protein. Thanks all.... take care Mary
