I'm approved ALREADY!!

I am so happy! I just got a call from Lois today and my insurance has approved me. She said she called to find out what she needed to send because she has never dealt with that perticular company before and they asked her some questions about me and they gave her an approval right over the phone. She said that's the first time that's ever happened. I am very thankful I have a great insurance company!! I also want to say thank you to all who wrote and gave me words of encouragement.! This is the best site ever. Everyone is so supportive of eachother. I am so happy to have ALL of you! Christine

Who is your doctor? What insurance company do you have?

Dr. Aranow is my doctor. He is terrific. He requires you to attend a meeting where he discribes the surgery. You can then schedule an appointment with him. He also requires you go to several support groups including one with the dietian and physicitrist that explains the diet and emotional asspect after surgery. You must have a meeting with the dietian and physicitrist one on one. He also requires you to quit smoking and lose at least ten pounds after your initial weight-in. I know all this sounds like a lot, but to me, it just proves that he wants to make sure you are POSITIVE you want to go through with this surgery because it is life changing. He really cares about each patient. My insurance is Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey. (My husbands company is based in NJ) Christine
