Finally got an appointment

Got a call from Dr. Valins office today. Its been a long 3 weeks since the seminar. They have received the letter from my primary care doctor. I had already made appointments with the nutrionist and psycologist, so by the time I am seen on May 21 I will have those done and the support meeting too. I'm on my way.....:dance"

Julie, I'm so very happy for you!! And, while you're at it...if you want to be one step ahead of it even more...when you meet with Diana..ask her if you would be able to do the protein sparing diet, starting it on 5/16...that way when you go for your first visit they can see that you are already in ketosis and was able to stay on the diet...if Diana agrees to that, perhaps she could weigh you in the office the day of your meeting and note it in your folder for Debbie to see your starting weight. I did everything imaginable ... thats how I had my surgery in 6 weeks time from start to finish. But you are on your way...I'm so proud of you for not giving up during the weeks of waiting. Linda

Julie, Congratulations. It goes so quickly trust me. I'm on day two of my protein sparring diet. It's getting through the first day that's tough. I feel much better about it today and I'm already showing a trace of ketones. Maybe we'll end up getting surgery around the same time. Do you have a date for your pre-op education class yet?
