Am I making mistakes??

I was banded Tuesday Morning (11/20) and was told by one of my surgeon's PA's that I needed to remain on clear liquids until my post-op appointment next Thursday, the 29th, but I honestly don't know if I can handle clears for that long. I am so exhausted all the time, completely wiped out and and am wondering if it is due to the the fact that between the pre=op and now i have been on liquids since 11/18. My plan was to return to work next week, 11/28, but I don't know if I will have the energy to make it through the day if I stay on liquids. I don't know what else to do, my Surgeon wants me to drink Isopure ready mix and I have been, but the stuff is the pits!!!! Any suggestions for what I should do, I am beyond frustrated by this and am beginning to wonder if I was crazy when I decided to out myself through this. Help me please!
B R E A T H E....
You are not alone.
Listen...
YOU CAN DO THIS.
While the first couple of weeks for many (including me!) can be like the freaking twilight zone,
IT IS DOABLE.
One day at a time... one hour at a time.
Being exhausted and wiped out is to be expected.
You had surgery.
Now when they say clear liquids, that can include Isopure RTD protein. You can water it down to make it more palatable. That will help some.
And then...you don't have to drink it ever again.
But for now... Listen to your surgeon.
Other than that you need to give your body time to heal.
Do you have a nutritionist you can call to get some advise? Some encouragement?
Are you getting enough hydration?
Are you getting enough rest, followed by some walking?
I did the Mall for a bit to get me going.
Also... check out the lapband forum. Ask for help.
Keep reaching out.

The clear liquid stage is the pits... just think, though, in a few days you can have full liquids. Creamed soup will taste like the best food item in the world. This too will pass. I used Isopure Liquid drinks with 40 grams of protein per 20 oz. bottle. I tried different flavors until I found the ones I liked. I still drink them to insure proper protein intake. I just knew I couldn't take the drinks from the dry mixes. Isopure is good tasting as far as drinks go. I also use the Worldwide Pure Protein Shakes with 35 grams of protein per 11oz. drinks once I was on full liquids. Again, I still continue to drink it on occasion.
Good luck to you and stick with the program. It does get better each day. Keep on drinking!
You can do this and you HAVE to do this - if you have anything other than liquid you could mess up something with the healing process - everything is raw and fragile from surgery - it is not a punishment, it is the path you must endure to get to your goal. A lot of people have thoughts of regret after surgery when it is at the beginning - - it's normal......it's not easy but this shall pass. Take it one day at a time and try to keep you mind busy - rest as much as you can..............
You will feel better very soon - you are in my prayers!
