Thanksgiving -- successful?
I was a bit worried about it however I SURVIVED my first THANKSGIVING after surgery! WOO HOO!!
The company was wonderful, so much so that I didn't miss the not pigging out while others ate to their hearts content around me. I made sure to eat at least half of my food protein and then took a nibble of three items that I just had to try. I was pleasantly full! I was soo proud of myself... :) Then I made a plate to go for myself to pick out of over the next few days.
All this sweating for nuttin!
It went really well for me this year. Because stress has driven me to over eat and binge of late, I'm very proud of me for only taking a little dolyp of everything, ate my meat first, then the rest and only had one slice of apple pie!
There was one person there that's not seen me in 2 1/2 years, so, the last time she saw me was when I was still FAT! She couldn't believe it..
We had a fun day.

I was on day 5 of my 10 day liquid pre-op diet. I had my Atkins shake and some cottage cheese and apple juice, diet soda and that was it. There was about 15 people at the table and only 4 or 5 of them knew why I wasn't eating. I didn't enlighten the others (I don't know them too well).
It was very hard as everything looked and smelled so good.
I'm proud of me, I did good (am I allowed to pat my own back?
