Hello Evelyn. Welcome. I went to my first orientation meeting in March. I am looking into the Lap Band surgery. I am doing consultations right now. I had my Pulmonary consult and second appt. with the Psychologist on Saturday. I still have to see the nutrionist before I meet with the dr. This website has been so informative in providing the ins and outs of the wls. My doctor is Richard Newman at ST. Francis Hospital. He works along with Dr. Carlos Barba. I suggest you attend a support group meeting. I found this to be helpful. Just to see the person up close and ask all kinds of questions was so beneficial to me. Even though I haven't had the surgery yet I enjoyed the session. The next meeting is next week at ST. Francis Hospital on April 20th. Where is Dr. Giles located?

HELLO ANTOINETTE, THANKS FOR THE WELCOME. I HAD MY FIRST CONSULTATION WITH DR. GILES ON APRIL 8, 2004 AND ALSO WITH THE NUTRITIONIST. I HAVE APPOINTMENT SETUP FOR THE PULMONARY TEST ON MAY 20, 2004 AND CONSULTANT ON JUNE 15, 2004. THIS WAITING FOR AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE PSYCHOLOGIST. MY NEXT NUTRITION APPOINTMENT IS MAY 24, 2004. I HAVE ALSO GOINT TO MY FIRST GROUP SESSION ON MONDAY, APRIL 12, 2004. IT'S BEEN VERY HELPFUL ALONG WITH THIS SITE. DR GILES IS IN FARMINGTON AT THE UCONN HOSPITAL. Evelyn, Isn't everyone here at the ObesityHelp site great? I was just about to email you and ask if you already had some of your tests scheduled when I saw your post listing your appointment dates. I know from experience that waiting for all the tests seems like it will take forever... but that waiting time will give you the time that you need to learn as much as you can about the change that you are about to make in your life.
