My appeal
My day came and went.. on April 1st I got the call saying my insurance company wouldn't even talk to Dr. Valin's office b/c of the exclusion in my plan, so they weren't even able to get a denial letter. So, I am no working on my appeal. Ironically, the grievance lady's name is Hope. She said not to worry, that other people at my hospital have gotten the surgery done and they have made exceptions. I really hope so!! I'm still holding my breath.
Anyhow.. my question is.. is a 3 page appeal letter too long? or too short? I made it as detailed as possible, but I'm afraid I may have put too much emotion in the letter. I don't know if that's wrong or right. If any one has any opinions or would like to read my letter and critique it, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated it.
IF IF IF everything goes well, it looks like my date will be 4/30/04!!
Take care,
Michelle
Hi Michelle,
I'd suggest that you just stick with the facts in your letter. I wouldn't get into any emotion, if possible. Three pages seems like it might be long, but if its 3 pages of facts, etc., then go for it.
I'll be praying that you win your appeal!
