ONE YEAR and that's NO APRIL FOOL!
Well, I am off to the Casino in a little while for a get away with the DH. AND my first ever massage.
Linda, don't worry, I'll be back in time for the games!
I already mentioned this in my post to Linda, but I wanted to just say a tiny bit about my one year anniversary. 4/2/03 I was 290 and now 165 one year later. It's been pretty easy having the weight fall off up to this point, I eat pretty much what ever I want to, just much less. I have noticed lately I can eat a little bit more, but still nowhere near the quantities I used to. I still don't eat sugar or drink carbonated drinks. I think both these things are keys to success in this journey. When I first came to this board, I used to love to read posts like this about people reaching a year and what their weight was and how they felt because it gave me hope and goals to strive for. I feel great, sometimes I get tired easier but I attribute that more to being 48 years old than WLS. Am I happier? A big YES! Because I can do so many things now I couldn't before. I still have areas in my life I'd like to improve but doesn't everyone? I have SO much more confidence now, if I have a fear or a conflict to face I can do it without hearing that fatso voice in my head holding me back. So would I do this all over again? In a New York minute!
Hugs Everyone!!

Congratulations Cheryl! . Hard to believe it has been a year already isn't it? Please know that your success has not gone unnoticed by all of us here in CT. You are an amazing support to all of us as well as being a super friend. I hope that you enjoy your massage and the pampering that you truly deserve. I may be going there tomorrow evening myself....... but you will probably have left by that time. I may go visit the BJ tables for a while before my trip on Saturday. Did I tell you I went last Saturday night after the games and won big time! . I will look for you just in case you are still there. I ususally hang out at the BJ tables in the non-smoking area in the Sun casino. I can't wait until Saturday though. OHHHHHHH did you hear that my man Emeka may not be able to play???? I want to see both teams come home with those Championship Rings!!! Wouldn't that be awesome???? Congrats again Cheryl and keep up the great work.

Cheryl,
Congratulations on the great success you have had!! You are right about seeing how much difference a year makes, it is an inspiration to me. I can't wait to be there too! I still have a hard time believing in the dream, but you are proof!
Also, thanks for continuing to be active here. Your posts are always helpful.
Have fun with hubby!!

Congratulations on your anniversary! You've done wonderful and you should be proud of yourself!
I didn't get to wish you the best before your weekend away - but I can't wait to have you tell me how it was! Did you win any $$$? How was the massage? I'm not crazy about the full-body ones - but I love the chair massages.
Hope you had a great time
God Bless,
Kathy Bilodeau
PS - the pictures look great!
