See the Psychiatrist this week
I have an appt. this week to see a psychiatrist. This is my first start to the approval for Lap Band Surgery. I went to my first support group session last week and thought it was informative. Even though it was a snow storm. It was worth it. My sister tentative date is April 20th. Saint Francis Hospital requires for the Lap Band Surgery a BMI of 50 or less. I have a BMI of 52. I am currently watching what I eat. I want to lose at least 30lbs by the time I see the nutritionist. I am in a friend's wedding in July and can't even fit the dress. I am so disappointed in myself. This wedding is an incentive to prepare me for the life altering change I am going to experience when I get the surgery. When I went to the initial orientation at Saint Francis. They were alot of people who raised their hand for the Laproscopic surgery and not the Lap Band. Are there any Bandsters in CT? I would like to know your experience with the Lap Band.
