Get together meaningful to spouses too
Our get together today was great! I just wish we had thought to do a group picture before people started to leave. I truly enjoyed meeting everyone.
I just want to say that I was feeling bad about having to drag my husband along (because of me being a wimpy driver). He would do anything for me but I didn't want him to feel uncomfortable or bored. To my surprise he really enjoyed himself and was incredibly touched by everyone's stories. I joked about not making him talk in front of everyone and he later told me that he would have liked to have said something but was concerned about being emotional. It was an excellent experience for both of us. I was in a very dark place before surgery which affected my whole family and being reminded of that made us both aware of how much better life has become. Thanks to all of you and especially Kathy B. for putting it all together.

Carolyn,
Wow, I'm really touched by your email. Your husband mentioned to me that he was moved by some of the stories - I'm so glad that he had the chance to be there with us.
My husband would have loved to been around much longer today, but because we couldn't get a sitter for the boys, he only got to pop in for a few minutes - maybe next time!
God Bless,

Carolyn,
My hubby enjoyed talking to your hubby. I'm glad that you brought him and that he felt it was valuabel. Even at this 'late' date, out get together sparked a lot of conversation between me and my hubby about our past and our future.
As I've said a million times... It was great to meet everybody too!
Take care & hope to sse you again soon! (next meeting- mohegan sun??)
