In one week . . . . . . . . . . .

Many of us will be getting together in East Windsor and meeting for the first time! We'll be having a pot-luck luncheon, and a clothing exchange -- and best of all, we'll get to meet each other fact to face! This is a great opportunity for pre-ops to meet a bunch of wonderful people who have already gone through the surgery. Its also a great time for a reluctant significant other -- they'll get to see the successes as well! If you're interested in coming, it's not too late to let me know. Just wanted to wish you all a great time! I SO WANTED to come! However, that pesky little thing called MY SURGERY DATE will be in the way of my party plans with all of you!! Carla, Wow, just a few more days..................... I am sure its hard to believe that it is actually here. By the way, I would be glad to pick you up from the hospital Saturday morning and bring you to the get together Yes it is LA Fitness that I belong to. It is a bit more expensive then some of the other gyms around (the others have cut their prices drastically because of the competition) but the pool was the deal breaker for me. I love the water and doing water aerobics is just the ticket. It is a great gym and believe it or not there are many post op folks who go there. Kathy and I have met several. I guess the thing I like about that gym is that there are people of all sizes, shapes and ages. I don't feel out of place there at all. Good luck on Wed. and I will be thinking of you and I just know you will do just great!! Linda

Hi Everyone, There are at least 20 people who have signed up telling me what they are bringing for the pot-luck, and I am aware of several others who have not signed up yet - so it should be a nice turn out. Most all of the regular "posters" will be there. Its not too late, so if anyone is interested in joining us - just let me know. Carla, I'm sorry you won't be able to make it - but having surgery this week is well worth your absence. We'll definately want to hear from you before Saturday so we'll know how you are doing. I, also, am looking forward to meeting so many of you! It will be wonderful to have actual people to put together with pictures! I'd like to remind everyone that if they have anything to share, please cosider bringing clothing for the clothing exchange. I believe what we will do is have persons who donate clothing get first choice for picking out items of clothing to take home with them. After that, we will open it to everyone. (We realize that some people do not have anything to give, but are in need) You do not need to bring something in order to take something home. We will simply operate on an 'honor' type system so that everyone gets a chance to have something new. So, if you can, please bring some items. I know that personally, I don't want to go home with ANYTHING that I brought, so there will be LOTS of stuff to choose from. People have mentioned having sizes all across the board, so there should be a variety available for everyone. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line! See you all Sat!
