I REALLY NEED A DOC

My surgery was scheduled for 3/9/04. I got a call Friday that he can not do my surgery b/c he had an emergency w/his daughter. I have been approved w/my inusrance company and I have also been approved for surgery by all the Doc's I had testing with. I need to find another Doc who can do my surgery that takes HealthNet Healthy Options. If anyone knows of another Doc that takes my insurance please tell me you can contact me at [email protected] Mary

Mary- He couldn't just re-schedule you? It seems awful for you to have to go through a whole process for a new doctor just because he had an emergency. I'm sorry that I don't have a suggestion for you about someone who takes healthnet. But, I do wish you the best of luck. I hope maybe your surgeon can just re-schedule you. Lisa C

Well Lisa I guess he can reschedule me, but from what his sec is telling me he does not know when he can do my surgery which puts my life on hold. I thank u for ur support and well wishes. I guess even Doc's have emergencies......Mary

Hi Mary, I agree with Lisa. I would see when he could reschedule you. I think it would take much more time to go through another surgeon's requirements. I'm sure this is difficult for you - I would have been crushed if my surgery plans had to change for any reason - but keep in mind that these things usually work out for the best. I imagine that at this time, your Dr has all plans up in the air. When he returns to work, he will be able to give you a new surgery date. Short of stopping practicing all together, it will take less time to do that then start with a new surgeon and support team. Peter

Well,I just talked to my Doc's office and still she says she cant give noone a date. I guess what has happened is pretty serious. I am so bummed my life is up in the air and it suks.
