Well.....

I finally got my letter from my PCP this morning.. which I've been waiting for a while to get. I'm grateful for that. Only bad thing now is.. I've changed my mind and have changed my surgeon back to Dr. Valin. I can't(literally and patience wise) wait until Christmas to have surgery with the other surgeon. I'm glad to be going to Dr. Valin.. but they are asking me to redo my evaluations (psych & nutrition) with their people. So another small set back.. but luckily the seminar is on the 31st of March!! Just wanted to share.

Michelle: What makes you think you would have to wait till December for Dr.Bell? Did they call you? I have had all my paperwork in to them for 12 business days now. I am getting a little upset because I have called twice this week and nobody has called me back. I just want to confirm that they do indeed have everything. I checked with all the senders but you never know what gets lost in route. Best of luck with Dr. Valin. Chryssie

Chryssie.. I'm sorry they're not getting back to you quickly enough. I think it will take some time.. but I wouldn't give up. I was "guestimating" Christmas time. I did call to confirm the rumor that Dr. Bell's group consult was booked out until July and it was true. The woman there said I would not get to see him until July and then surgery would be a good 2-4 months after. I also had misinformation about Dr. Valin.. which I confirmed wasn't true and decided to go back to him. Anyhow.. I hope they get back to you and hopefully you can get in soon. Let us know how it goes!!

I have done my psych and health evaluations already with Dr. Valins people, both of which are amazingly nice. They really dont take long to schedule. I had both of mine done in the same week. It will only be a small set back! The people in his office are all wonderful people. I wish you the best of luck!

I think I may have figured things out. I called Chris Lodi to set up an appt, got one on the 17th, which also happens to be a mandatory meeting that I didn't know about that night. Then Diana Rosa called me back and squeezed me in on the 17th as well since I'm 2 hours away. So I'll make a day of it. I hope things go smoothly from there. I got the letter from my PCP and even though I asked them to put Dr. Valin's name on it.. they went with my original choice.. I guess they forgot. So they just have to reprint it and have the Dr. sign it. At least it's written!! Will I be seeing any of you at the March 17th meeting? Or the March 31st meeting.
