Regarding that delicate question
I just can't thank everyone enough for all your responses. I am trying the Monistat now and if that doesn't work, I'll move on to the other suggestions. Here's the thing though, this rash is also under one armpit. It burns awful, I can't shave or anything or put deoderant on it. Could this be the same type of thing??
I am going to my support group meeting tonight. I hope I can steal Dr. G away for a min to ask him what the heck this is!!!
OUCH!
Cheryl
I've had that same kind of rash under my armpit, in the crook of my elbow, etc. I also have an auto-immune disorder called lichen sclerosis which is in the eczema family (it actually affects the skin in a very delicate place ...), and the drs. have all prescribed the same steroidal cream that tricanozol or something in that neighborhood. Might be worth asking about.
If nothing else, we can send you a back scratcher ...
Cheryl- it darn well could be! Fungal infections are spreadable.
On another note...and to look at it at a different angle...What a boon for you. Get it documented, documented, documented, and make yor Dr. write you a perscription. If this becomes a persistent problem for you, you are well on your way to some PS.
Lisa-
Awesome advice! I have a hernia though and a keloided scar so I am already qualified for my TT. Now I just have to work up the guts! I can't believe how nervous I am about that.
I called my doc and he perscribed this cream called Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream, USP. Boy, what a long name for a cream. It is anti fungal and I just can't wait for it to work because this really hurts!
I'm going to post again to tell you all about our support group last night that was awesome.
Thanks so much Lisa, please tell me you are going to the get to gether, I am looking forward to meeting you!
Cheryl
