What a Difference a Day Makes!! My Appeal WORKED!!
Hello all,
Thank you for your encouragement lately, when I've been so very stressed about not hearing from Aetna about my appeal. I just heard this morning that they've OK'd me. I really didn't think it was going to happen. This feels sureal!! In time, I'll be able to walk up and down stairs, and not have to take a day off from work almost every week to put my swollen feet up. I've forgotten what it feels like to be physically comfortable. This is like a miracle. I've been struggling to get this surgery for soooo looooong. I'll write later when I have a bit more time. Bless you all!
Linda.
You know, Ann, yours will probably go through fine, since you checked their website in the first place. Appealing is a strenuous process and I feel for anyone who has to go through it, and yet, it is worth it!!! I'm still mighty frightened of complications and blood clots, etc. But I'm going to grab a new life for myself anyway. It's my last chance. I'm 327 lbs and 49 and have high blood pressure, diabetes, bad arthritis, swollen ankles and foot and leg cramps that take hours to calm down at night, etc. How's your health? What's your story? Do you have Dr. Ehrlich also?
I hope you hear that you're approved with no problem. Did they assign you a surgery date to go with your submission? Nice chatting with you. Hope to hear back from you. Thanks very much.
Linda.
