PSurg and Ins in CT
Hi Everyone,
I had RNY over 6 years ago and am finally getting to checking out a bust lift and tummy tuck. I went to a plastic surgeon yesterday and he flat out said no way will insurance pay. I've lost over 120 lbs and am total sag-city. I can't even undress in front of myself, let alone my hubby. I'm not infected with sores or anything and my stomach is not reaching my knees (as PS says these may get Ins to pay!!??!!). But, I heard a lot of people get some kind of help from insurance. I got United Health Premium.
Can anyone offer any help/advice/surgeon in Connecticut?
Thanks a lot.

Im curious as to what plastic surgeon you saw? I have heard stories about surgeons willing to put up the fight and try to get you approved and others who dont bother to try - I wonder if your surgeon is even willing to submit for approval and see what they say. I am in the same boat now, trying to decide what insurance company to go with that might give me the best shot at some coverage. Good luck and see another doctor, maybe they will try harder for you.
