Desiring a reccipe for applesauce
Carol I have a quick and easy way to make homemade applesauce. I just peel and core and slice up my apples, place in a pyrex dish, add a small amount of water, cover and microwave on high until apples are soft ( I try 5 minutes at a time and check them). Then mash and add some cinnamin and splenda to my taste. That way I can make as much or as little as I want. You can even freeze applesauce if you have lots of apples to cook up. Enjoy Sher Just remember 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce has about 105 calories, 27 grams carbs, 24g sugar, and only .4 grams protien (less than 1 gram), but you could add unflavored protien powder into it before it cools and increase protien content.
