What was I thinking

This morning I woke up DH and said lets climb to the top of Sleeping Giant Park.  It is 1.6 miles and as I remember fairly gradual an incline.  I should start by saying I remember this from the last time I hiked it as a 125 pound 20 year old.  This was almost 25 years ago to say nothing of an additional 125 pounds.  The good news is I made it, and no EMTs needed to be called.  The bad news is I was struggling so hard with my breathing on the way up that I probably stopped 5 or 6 times to rest.  But I do have to admit that I am pretty proud of myself for the accomplishment.

Congratulations!!!  That is just terrific!  I recently went to Newburyport, MA with my female cousins and walked the town the whole day! No cane, no rest stops or having to sit. This will get better and better for you with the more weight you lose and the more you get out there and . . . just do it!  It's such a feeling of freedom when you can do whatever you want and your body cooperates. It must have been beautiful from up there. Bev
