What's next?

Hello Everyone, Well, I've had my initial consult with Dr. Aranow. I had my appointment with Amy, the dietitian. I also had my appointment with Dr. Daniels, the psychiatrist. Everything went very well and they think I am ready. Monday is my appointment with my PCP so he can give me clearance for surgery. I was just wondering what is next? I also had my ultrasound done to check for gallstones and that was great too- all clear! I didn't need to go for a sleep study or anything, so do you think I am all set know? Is it just a waiting game, or do I need do do anything else? I am really excited and can't wait for surgery. I have done so much research and have filled my family, friends and co-workers in on everything so they will know what to expect afterwards and won't try to give me cake (my absolute downfall!!) after surgery. Hi Christine looks like you are sailing along smoothly. I do recall other people posting that results of all tests have to be recieved at Dr Aranows office before you go any further and the office does not let you know if anything is missing. I would say call his office and ask them. good luck angel

Hi Christine, Usually your visit with Amy is the last thing to do unless you need to meet with her again. I would follow up with Dr. Aranow's office just to check in with what they have received and what they might be waiting for. I communicated with them through e-mail and they were very good at getting back to me quickly. I was told that after seeing Amy I would have a surgery date within a week or two but never heard any thing. As it turned out they had miss placed the report from Amy and another copy needed to be sent. I had a sergury date the next day! Best of luck to you.
