Quick Update
Hey Everyone,
I have been soooo busy lately that I haven't had much time to much. Last week I went to NYC to see the Producers!!! It was GREAT. Nathan Lane and Mathew Broderick were hysterical . We had balcony seats and if there was an elevator they hid it well. Let me tell you I never would have made it up all those steps 3 months ago. Fitting in the seat was pretty good also. This weekend I went to the Mohegan Sun (Friday night) and boy was it crowded. I managed to do some winning at the Black Jack tables though . Good thing because I booked a trip to Cancun for November. Yup. that will be my 1 year anniversary and I am going with some friends to an all inclusive resort type place to relax and pamper myself. God knows what I will look like in a bathing suit at that point but who cares... Yesterday was spen****ching the UCONN teams kick butt!! I am sooooo upset that the women's senior night is March 2nd. That's Dr. Bell's support group meeting. What's a girl to do????? Guess I will be taping that game. I am not looking foward to either senior night actually. It will be soooooo sad. .
On a more personal note. I finally broke my 2nd plateau. It was the 2nd 3 weeker and I am telling you that is really frustrating. I expected them but not so soon. I am just a bit over 3 months out and have had two already. But I keep plugging along, going to the gym and trying to keep the eating down. I get hungry alot and I think I can eat alot at one time but I am still keeping it below 1000 calories. I envy those of you who can't eat alot. I sometimes wonder if I really had the surgery........ However, I must be doing something right as I have lost 60 pounds so far and lots of inches. Have had a great time clothes shopping too. That is still out of control but hey, I am having fun!!!
Sorry this is so long but its been a while. OH yes, Mary Lou is back at Gaylord (for those of you that didn't know she had to go back to Yale last weekend to get a drain repaired) and her room has changed to Lyman 120. She is doing her rehab and still doesn't know how long she will be there. Drop her a line if you get time......
Linda
It's so great to see your smiling face Linda! I spent the day watching our Huskies too yesterday. They were great and I don't look forward to senior night this year either. There won't be a dry eye in CT that night.
Did you see that guy at Mohegan on Friday that sings like Frank Sinatra? My friend went to that also. She said he is awesome.
Cancun sounds wonderful. My plan is to get one of those cute bathing suits that has the little skirt from Land's End. It will hopefully hide those flabby thighs of mine.
Yesterday (after the games of course) I went to the closing Lord & Taylor at Meriden Sq. Everything was 50% off, so there I was, my arms aching with all the clothes. I even got some new pj's. It was fun and strange still for me not to wander over to the plus sizes. It was safe there, now I have to actually think about what I buy. Then it was "well, it fits, I'll buy it" Now if I can get my size 14 waist to match my size 12 legs and hips I'll be all set.
Thanks too for the update on Mary Lou. I hope the road isn't too much longer for her.
Congratulations on breaking those nasty plateaus, I can eat more now too, and need to keep focus on my choices.
Keep in touch!
love
Cheryl
