Hello everyone! Nice to see ya! I have to be the most impatient person.. or overly excited I suppose. I had my psych evaluation, not anywhere near as horrible as I thought it might be. The lady I saw even said she thinks it will be a wonderful thing for me to have the surgery and she doesn't feel that way in all cases that shes sees for this surgery. I guess that's a good thing. My nutrition consult is set up with a nice sounding lady named Suzanne at Yale-New Haven for the 25th. This is the same day as the support group meeting in New London. I was thinking about going and was wondering if anyone here will be attending?? (How do I get there?!) If I can't get to this one, I'll definitely be at the March 2nd one.. I really hope to see some of you there!! Well.. things haven't gone as smoothly as I would have liked them to go and it's understandable. Luckily, I'm not at the point where I need these things done immediately. My psych evaluation isn't written up yet, but the psychologist promised it by this coming Monday and my PCP hasn't gotten back to me at all about my letter.. but I'm seeing her on the 3rd. Working for a pair of doctors, I totally understand how busy they are.. so I'm being extremely patient. Now I can only hope that after meeting Dr. Bell it will be a VERY SHORT amount of time before he'll perform the surgery. Nothing wrong with wishful thinking!

Hang in there Michelle. Your day will come before you know it. I was so impatient prior to the surgery, and now I realize it was not an unreasonable wait at all! You're in great hands with Dr. Bell - so it will all be worth it. God Bless, Kathy Bilodeau Lap RNY 12/3/03 -62 lbs.
