Help me settle a patient-surgeon bet?
My surgeon and I have been having an ongoing all-in-good-fun disagreement, and I hope one (or more!) of you can help me resolve it. There is a free gastric band fill riding on it!
HE says that Sharon Osbourne had gastric BANDING surgery; I say she had BYPASS surgery. I'm sure I read that in one of the many recent articles about her, and since she had the procedure done in 95 or 97, I would think that it HAD to be bypass.
I used to have a People Magazine article with her in it, but I can't find it anymore. the Internet has really let me down tonight since I can't find anything except on the People website, and you have to be a subscriber or AOL user to read their articles.
I thank anyone in advance who can help me win this one. It's been a fun little argument, but I just want to prove him wrong. Competitive? OH YEAH!
Hi Bette
Found this on Yahoo Search:
Sharon battled her weight. She had reached 225 pounds when she decided she had to take serious action. "In my life I've seen the way people react to fat people. Somebody once said that it's more accepted to be a drug addict than it is to the fat, and it's true," she said. So in 1999 Sharon elected to have a new procedure called Lap-Band surgery that placed a band around her stomach, reducing the amount of food she can take in.
Tough Business Woman
