Hi Everyone!! I'm new...

Hi Everyone!! I'm new to the board, but have been reading for a very long time. I am scheduled to have surgery tomorrow, with Dr. Bell. I was wondering if we are allowed to wear deodorant, powder, hairspray, etc... I forgot to ask, and want to make sure that I don't do the wrong thing. Any help with this would be appreciated!! Thanks

Hi Kelly, Welcome to the board! You are in great hands with Dr. Bell - he's wonderful! I can't remember if you can wear all that or not -- but then again, I only use deodorant. I wouldn't use powder, that can clog your skin, and they may need to attach monitors, and that would hinder it. I don't think using hairspray would be a problem either - but I really don't remember for certain. I wish you the best for tomorrow - and please keep us posted on your progress. Hi Kelly, As Kathy said there are no restrictions like that pre-surgery, however just remember that you won't be taking a shower for a few days so the less stuff you have on probably the better. I would just stick with deoderant. Good luck tomorrow, may your slide to the losing side be as pain free and uneventful as possible. I am sure you are very very excited.
