Newbie here..Dr. Bell Pts?

Hello everyone! I've been lurking for a while.. mainly while the "dust settles". I have been in the process of getting things prepared to have this surgery. I've decided on lap RNY if everything permits it. I've also decided to go with Dr. Bell in New Haven. I was just wondering if anyone that's had him as a surgeon (or anyone for that matter!) would like to chat and possibly get me going in the right direction. Send me a message please! Thanks! Hi Michelle Welcome to our world... Seriously though you have chosen the best surgeon. Dr. Bell is just wonderful (IMHO). There are alot of us on here who have had surgery with him already or who are waiting. There is also a forum for Dr. Bell's patients that is fairly active and you can read more comments etc. about him on people's profiles. If you have any questions or just want to talk I am here. Hi Michelle Welcome aboard! You are in great hands with Dr. Bell. He is a very talented surgeon, and he's a wonderful doctor. I'm sure you will love him as much as the rest of us do! Get all your appointments taken care of asap, and make sure the office has received the reports from them - and that they are legible! Once that is done, you'll be set up for a group meeting - and in about 2 mos. after that - you'll have surgery. I wish you the best on your journey - and if you need anything, feel free to ask! Hi Michelle: I am pretty new to all of this too. I did go to the last support meeting. That was great. Lots of information. I just completed my nutrition and psych evaluation. The nutrition clinic is very informative. The psch evaluation was very detailed. So now I am just waiting for my phone to ring. How far along in the process are you? Have you met Dr.Bell? He seems great. I don't know what I can offer you as far as info goes but I am here if you ever need a friend!!! Welcome. Chryssie

Hello, I go to see Dr. Bell for my one on one this Tues. but, i was really impressed w/ him from the group meeting. I am having my surgery on Feb 18th so this whole process has taken me 8 months, it is well worth the wait. Good luck, Chrissy
