I'm only a week out and one of the things Amy, our dietician told me I can have is fat-free, sugar free yogurt. Where on earth can I find it? I had my husband and then my daughter go out to look for some but couldn't find anything labeled fat-free and sugar free only fat free. Can anybody give me any idea of brand names and where I can purchase them? I'd really appreciate it!

Lucy: Columbo, Dannon and Stop and Shop all sell fat-free, sugar-free yogurts. Read the labels carefully. I am pretty sure the Columbo and Dannon are labelled as "light" or "lite". I'm not real big on yogurt, but I really like the FF/SF varieties.

Lucy, There is no such thing as sugar free and fat free yogurt. You want to get the ones that are 100 calories or less. Yogurt being a dairy product has natural sugars, you just don't want any additional. Blue Bunny makes yogurt with splenda and the others use nutrasweet. The Dannon Light and Fit is my favorite although I don't eat it often. Linda

Hi Lucy, Amy recommended Dannon Light & Fit CREAMY, this is smooth with no pieces. It is 6 oz and the creamy is in a purple container. Good luck. Carolyn

Dannon also has a Lite N Fit Smoothie that is wonderful - fat free, and made with Splenda. Atkins makes a yogurt now (actually its made by Hood for Atkins), its low-fat and made with Splenda. Axelrod makes yogurt that is fat free, and sweetened with NutraSweet. Linda is correct, because of the natural milk sugars, nothing with show 0 sugar -- look for under 90 cals., and sweetened with an artificial sweetener. Have fun. Kathy Bilodeau

Okay, I stand corrected. What I mean was "no sugar added", not sugar-free . . .
