Hi -- I'm New
My name's Kathy (haven't posted pictures yet). I live in Bridgeport & had surgery on 11/4 at Lenox Hill in NYC. Unfortunately, I had surgery AGAIN on 11/12 at Bridgeport Hosp. for a leak! Both my dr.'s have been good, but while at Bport. I also got a wound contamination and have had an open wound on my abdomen ever since. It's gotten a lot smaller though!!
I just thought I'd put my 2 cents in, because I really don't have anyone to talk to about the everyday stuff that happens post-op. I'm luckily tolerating food pretty well, with the big exception of pasta. Funny, because that was always one of my favorite foods! Guess it's good then that I can't have it.
Hope you're all doing well.
Kathy

Kathy,
Welcome! So glad to have you here.
Sounds like you have really had a rough time of it... but you seem to be a very positive person.
I couldn't and still can't tolerate pasta (or bread or rice, for that matter). Like you said, its probably a good thing that we can't tolerate it anymore. Honestly, I don't even miss it anymore. I was surprised to find that if I look hard enough I can find plenty of better choices that don't include pasta or rice.
How much have you lost since your surgery?
Hope to see you here posting often.
Continued success to you,
Kim
