My DH and I went to the Men's UConn Huskie game yesterday, and it finally happened. Yes, yes, I fit in the seats and even had a tinny bit of wiggle room. But here's the best thing. We ran into our Priest, (must be a season ticket holder! lol) He had no idea who I was and asked my DH like he was with another women!! It was SOOO funny. I go Father Brian it's me, Cheryl and he started laughing. Mind you, he is HUGE!! Has had double knee replacement and didn't lose an ounce. He is so jolly though I can't picture him thin. He was so happy for me and I didn't even tell him how I did it. Pre-op I used to worry about taking up other people's room in seats, and on planes. Now, the reverse happens and these guys have no problem leaning to MY side and letting their jackets hang on me!! What a riot. Sadly, the men lost, but we had a good time together. DH and I don't spend a lot of quality time together since we are both on the run all the time so it was nice. We went to lunch after and both had Cobb salads. A first for him, and he got to finish mine! All in all a good day. Have to go in to work on Sunday, GRANT time!! (my bread and butter) But I will take the time off another time. So I'll check the boards tonight!! We have such an awesome board here in CT!! hugz Cheryl

Congrads Cheryl it must have felt wonderful. I went to a restaurant yesterday and fit into the booth with room to spare and I was just as amazed myself. It's a great feeling. I have been told there will be many more wonders down the road. Enjoy Darlene

Hi Cheryl, I am sure that feeling comfortable in those seats took the edge off the men losing. . Thank goodness the women won though. They were both tight games. I was thinking just last night how I seem to be more attuned to changes in my body than I ever was with losing weight before. I noticed last night how loose my panni is. I don't think it was like that before I am so happy for you and know that feeling good about yourself is one of the best things that happens as a result of this surgery. Of course we must never forget that it is not the surgery alone but all the hard work we put into the weight loss that goes along with it. Don't work too hard today. Hey have you found a volleyball team or some form of exercise yet?? I highly reccommend water aerobics for fun. Linda

Congrats on fitting in those tiny seats! Yes, they ARE small! I had much the same experience and I know exactly how you feel. I remember one of the last times I stuffed myself in those seats before surgery. It hurt so much, I actually had black and blue marks on my 'hips' (not that I actually HAD hips back then) What a wonderful feeling to FIT in!!! Congrats to you and keep up the GREAT work.
