I Have a Date!!

I'm so excited that I had to let everyone know that I've been given a date for my gastric bypass surgery with Dr. Aranow. It's for Jan. 26th. At first Lois mentioned that it wouldn't be until the beginning of March since Dr. Aranow was going on vacation for 3 weeks but she said she had just gotten a cancellation and that even though in was real soon, she asked if I might be interested. Excitedly I said yes! So next week I have to go for my pre-op physical and bloodwork and then on for the surgery. Soon I'll be with the rest of you on the other side!

Hi Sandra! And congratulations to you too! I read your bio and you stated that they were going to call you with a new date for February. Let me know what it is. You must be just as anxious as I am. This is so great to know a few of us are gonna go through this at about the same time. I don't feel so alone now. I'll have someone else to talk to that will understand what I'll be going through. Wow, that's great!! Gee that's only 4 days away. Are you getting nervous? I'm am. I'll be thinking and praying for you. Hi Lucy. I have no regrets whatsoever.....my surgery was on October 6, 2003 and as of yesterday I have lost 77 pounds. My dieabetes and high bloodpressure has dissapered. My asthma and arthritis has improved very much, I nolonger have hotflashes from being in menopouse (I had a hysterectomy), neighter do I have any bladder problems or acid reflux, my self esteem has gone up and I have much more energy. I haven't had any complictions at all, but I do follow all the aftercare instuctions and I think that's important. To me, the surgery is the best thing I have done for my self and my health and I have a life again All the best to you, hug from Tove
