3/20/04 CT Get Together!

Hi everyone, I have permission to use the church hall on Saturday, March 20th for a CT ObesityHelp Forum get together. As I mentioned previously, this will be a put-luck type get together -- pre-ops can bring Crystal Lite and paper goods, post-ops can bring their favorite post-op friendly food. We'll probably have some sort of sign up so we don't get lots of duplicates. I'd suggest bringing something to keep warm foods warm (if necessary) - there is a stove, but this would be easier for everyone. We'll be having a clothing swap, and just lots of getting to know everyone. Let me know if you have any ideas to add -- I'm certainly open to them. BTW - the church is in East Windsor. Hey kathy! 3/20 is marked in my calendar. Waht time are we talking about? Perhaps everyone can email you with thheir email addresses if they want to attend. We can put an email group together (I'll help if you don't know how) and email everyone updates, etc. I'm still happy to organize the clothing exchange. (thought I confess I'm not sure how, I'll figure it out) I do think having everyone email you with an "I'd like to come" will be good and we'll set up the group and communicate. I do have lot of experience running registrations for events, so we can talk if you want help organizing. I'm looking forward to it. It sounds like fun!

Lisa, That's a great idea -- so folks, if you are interested in attending the get-together, email me at [email protected]. Lisa and I will work out an email list, and will keep you updated. I was thinking 11:00 to get together -- does that sound good? I'm open to suggestions, but 11:00 means its a lunch. Thanks for your help. Kathy
