Pain in the Back!

Hi everyone, I've been getting a pain in my right shoulder-blade area of my back almost every afternoon. I have back problems, but usually they are in the lower back. Massage, stretching and heat do not seem to help this pain go away, but my husband has been sort of "burping me" and that does seem to help. I figure its gas - but boy is it painful. Has anyone else experienced this, and for how long? I'm hoping it goes away pretty quick - it really is quite uncomfortable. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. Hi Kathy, I have not had this happen personally but I have read about it alot. It seems that the gas that they fill our abdomen's with often travels on up into the the shoulder area and has to find a way out.... The burping you sounds about right!! You are doing great. I can't believe how much weight you have lost already. Its awesome. Take care and have a very very happy holiday. Linda

Ouch! Sounds like Gas to me. I had the same experience. It was such a long lasting bothersome pain, I hate to think about it! It will go away though. If it gets too bad, please talk to your Dr. Maybe he can give you something.

Hi Kathy, I had the same problem and couldnt seem to shake it but I did two things that I beleive helped it. I drank green decaf tea and I got into a comfortable position and I did some meditating specifically for the areas of pain and to disolve the gas. It took less than 2 hours and it was gone. It might be worth a try for you. I hope your feeling better soon! Happy Holidays. Deb

Yes, Kathy, I've been having one, too, always in the afternoon, around two or three o'clock. It's not BAD pain, but a big annoyance. Getting up and walking around, or putting a pillow behind me helps. I thought I was just sitting wrong but maybe there is something else to it.
