Yuk, Taste like rubber. I went to Costco today and thought I'd try them. Well big mistake, only problem is its a huge package, so I guess I'll have to gag them down, lol. It was strange in Costco today, I would look at something and kept thinking it will take me a year to finish that huge package. Consequently I didn't buy much, except for some gifts. Lesson learned when trying something new buy small quantity Well hope you are doing well and having a great week. Mary Lou

HI MaryLou! Seems so weird saying that name. That is my moms name as well! My family has lived in Milford all thier lives and I did up until I got married! Now I am in Derby, my plans to moving back are put on hold until I get rich and cann afford to move back Anyways, I love those string cheese things, but as they say your taste buds change after surgery. Is this the first time you have tried them? I was just in Costco myself, I was looking at all those goodies saying "Goodbye" I have to start getting used to eating SLOWLY and in tiny portions and taking small sips after Christmas. It is so hard around the holidays and this is my last one before I go onto the "other side" I switched dates with my DH and I am going January 21st and he is going March 3rd! Yikessssss!!! Take care! Hugs MaryJo

Hi MaryJo, First of all congrats on your date, what a way to start the new year. It'll be here before you know it. This is the first time I've tried them and I really don't think I am going to like them better Oh well this is really a learning experience and our tastes do change but that's okay. Eating slowly hasn't been a problem for me fortunately I have always eaten slowly. Now drinking slowly was a little harder for me but your little pouch will tell you when you've done something it doesn't like I like to send you and your hubby my best wishes for a successful surgery and a wonderful journey. Happy Holidays to you and your family, Mary Lou

Mary Lou: Are those fat-free? I haven't found a fat-free cheese yet that was worth the money. I bought some fat-free ricotta cheese (suggested on the stage 3 diet by my nutritionist) and it was just GHASTLY. There was no taste at all, however I did have the feeling that it tasted like wall spackle might - but at least the dogs like it.

Hi Bette, They are not fat free but low skim milk. Their is a 50% reduced fat cheddar cheese which I really like but I can't think of the brand name. Having a senior moment It shouldn't be hard to find and if I can think of it I'll let you know. Happy Holidays, Mary Lou

Hi Ladies, I found the Cabot Low-fat cheese to be pretty good, it even melts! It tastes the closest to hi-test cheese, but it can be a bit pricy. Then again, all healthy food seems to be a bit more expensive! Happy Holidays to you and yours, -Deb

Hi Deb, Thanks for posting the name, I couldn't for the life of me think of it. I really like the Cabot also wi**** came in monterey jack also. I've only been able to find it in cheddar. Your right about the price, but the way I look at it I can only eat such a small amount at a time Hope your holidays are filled with joy, Mary Lou
