I'm home

I just got hom about an hour ago.  In a little pain and want to lay down, but afraid the 2 year old will come over and show his "love" to mommy....  He loves to jump on me and horseplay, something Ihad been trying to tone down the last few weeks, without successs. So instead I decided to sit at my computer, check on my emails, send updates and what not while the husband makes dinner for hte rest of the family.  Then he can give his full attention to making sure my little boy doesn't jump on me while I nap..   All went well thought, Thank the good lord. I'm home and other than a little achy and still have the drainage tube ... doing alright.  Okay, off to finish sending my hello's and hopefully get some rest. Can wait to be in my own bed.

Try to explain that Mommy has boo boos on her belly (actually show him) and that he can't jump on them or mommy will cry... Keep a pillow over yourself just in case!  Buffer zone... Keep getting up and walking, it's the best thing for healing..get that anesthesia out of your body. Post if you have any questions! Paula

LOL The pillow trick works. I had a partial histerectomy and had to use a pillow when I cam home because of my poodle. I plan on having to do the same thing after this one for the beagle. She will go nuts when mommy comes home after 3 days. OK, so the dog was only 10 lbs and doesn't compair to a toddler but it does help protect.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

Thanks for everything, and yup using a pillow to help out. Its a good buffer and helps prevent any serious pain from him and the family has been good abou****ching him and coming to my rescue whenever he sneaks away to try and come to see and play with mommy on his own :).  I really can't wait till I can hold him and let him jump all over me again ... LOL... I know I'l be cursing when he's trying to pull chunks ofmy hair out but its all in good love... LOL     Each day I am feeling better and a bit stronger.  I'm going to Dr's office today to see about the drain tube coming out.  Not sure if it will or not, been in a week almost and its still draining some.  I also want to go to the store to do my groceries today, rather than have them ordered and then have husband just swing by and pick them up. I think it would be good to get out. I will of course have one of those electric carts or something nearby in case I get tired, not about ot overdue it so soon after surgery but I want to get out of the house and go out even if it is just to the grocery store. Okay, I'm off ... gotta start preparing for my trip out and drink my breakfast, yummy protein shakes NOT! LOL... but I need it so I just sip down and deal with it ;)
