A tongue scraper!!! It's almost a necessity because your tongue gets really coated with a white thick film from the protein and you have to literally scrape it off with the scraper.  It gives you bad breath and a nasty taste in your mouth if you don't. You can buy them in any drug/retail store in the toothbrush isle.  They sometimes have more than one type to choose from.   I gag on mine, but still use it now from time to time.   I know, a nasty subject, but wanted those who are pre-op to add this to their "to get list!" Paula, You brought up a much needed "MUST HAVES" for us. I still have to use a tongue scraper 2=3 times a day.  The film never went away however is much better than it was right after surgery.   GROSS GROSS GROSS... For those getting ready for surgeyr or just post op.... Invest in one.. trust what Paula is saying you will definately need one with the protein build up. Mickey
