I'll preface this by saying that I know everyone is different, but I'm interested in hearing from you Post-ops . . . What foods are you really no longer able to tolerate, that you had no problems with before the surgery?

I can no longer eat red meat, I keep trying it but it makes me really sick. I think maybe it is to heavy because I am 10 months out and still cannot eat it. I do not eat any type of sweets. But everything else is ok. Had to work out a few things first but after a few tries I was able to eat them again. I do not know what's wrong with the red meat. Hope this helps.

I'm 1 year out...the foods I can't eat are: Chinese Food, (it must be a fat thing...) Ham, (again, a fat thing?) Cake (not even a bite as it's a sugar thing), Regular Ice cream (note even a bite, also a sugar thing), Pasta and for the longest time rice. Now, I seem to be able to tolerate rice though. The only one I miss is Ice Cream. But, my behind doesn't miss it, if you know what I mean! Occasionally I can manage a NSA ice cream, but even those are iffy. Overall, I gladly give them all up.

Bread! I can't tolerate bread any more, it seems to be the texture and heaviness of it. Rice! Expands in the pouch and makes me really uncomfortable. Sausage! That's probably because of the fat. Chicken! For the most part, however I have been able to tolerate it if its moist enough... but still can't eat much of it.
