Hi everyone! Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving and prepared to shop shop shop! I have a question for all you post-ops, and I'm hoping it's 'normal'. I'm approaching my two month anniversary (Oct 6th surgery date) and in the beginning I had phenomenal weight loss (just under 50 pounds) BUT the past 3 weeks or so the scale has not budged. I get my protein in, usually my fruit (applesauce has become my favorite food) and water. Carbs and veggies I eat a small amount, maybe 1-2 oz a day, or even every other. Is this normal? My DH (AKA Santa) bought me an Elliptical so I've started increasing my exercise, which has given me more energy. Still, I wonder, is this normal? Ok, it's bed time...sweet dreams everyone!

Deb, 50 lbs in less then 2 months sounds great. You may just be on a plateau which will not last long since it seems you are eating correctly. I am two weeks post-op and have lost about 20 lbs. Not official until Monday when I see the DR. We all are so ancious to loss 100 lbs that we forget that this is a new life long process. My other WLS friends have all lost the weight and I know that you and I willl also. Cathy
