ONE MORE WEEK!
It's just one more week! I'm a lot like this little pink guy: practically jumping from the anticipation.
I got pre-registered with Norwalk Hospital today. They told me that Connecticare has a $500 co-pay for surgery. I wasn't too happy, but I certainly wasn't going to complain. Then they called me back and said that Anthem, my secondary insurance, would pick up the co-pay. My biggest fear in all of this was that the insurance companies would make things tough, but they have been great.
I'm doing great on the 1000 calorie diet, but am not looking forward to the 2 days of clear liquids. But right now I feel like I really CAN handle anything!
I want to thank everyone who has emailed support and posted suggestions, comments, etc. I can't wait to meet some of you at Floch Surgical's seminars and support groups. Unfortunately, the next one is the night after my surgery, so I doubt they'd let me go. Then again, you never know . . . !
If you don't hear from me again before Tuesday, thank you, one and all, for everything. I'm very proud to be joining such a great group of people!
Bette
PS: anyone from the Bridgeport area interested in starting a "coffee klatch" after the holidays?
I just want to wish you the best for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. The last week will go by so fast. Goodluck!!!!!! Take care.
