Hello everyone, it has been 6 days since my surgery and I am still on clear liquids. I have a question tho, I keep hearing my old stomach growling and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I don't feel hunger yet, and am not obsessing with food yet, I did have a dream about eating but I spit it out because I knew I wasn't supposed to be eating, But will I experience hunger and growling in both tummys after a while? Just looking for a little insight on what to expect. Thanks, Darlene

Hi Darlene. I'm not quit sure what it what in my belly, but I get the "I'm full" feeling in the upper part in a small area between the naval and the breast. In the belly part from the naval and down I get the gas at times and also hear growling....but that could be in the intestines, I'm not quit sure. The dreaming part is pretty normal too, and BRAVO for you that you could spit it out in your dreams I don't know if that was to any help for you, maybe some more folks will come with their input on how they experience their belly. Hugs to all, Tove

HI Darlene, I am going to respond to both of your questions and hope I can help. First of all your "other" stomach is rudementry, sort of like what happens to your appendix if not removed. (can you tell I researched this?) so it just sort of shrivels up and doesn't do a thing. I am quite sure this will pass. The fever thing, I would let them know at your office. Especially if it concerns you! Remember when we had our kids and we would wonder if calling the pediatrician if it was a stupid question or not? NO question or concern is stupid when it comes to this surgery. You may have another symptom you don't even know about that they can ask you about to assess the fever. So call your office, first thing. We are here for you hun, there are so many early wierdo things that happen to us, most of them we can ignore, but sometimes not. If it were me, I would call just for peace of mind. this isn't easy, but it IS worth it!! hugs at ya! Cheryl
