I have a tentative surgery date!!!!

I saw the Nutritionist yesterday, which was my last pre-op requirement and I was given a tentative surgery date of October 1 (provided there are no complications with the insurance approval)!!! I'm so excited.  I just wanted to share with everyone.

Congratulations on getting a date!!  Isn't it so exciting when you finally get through all the meetings and tests and yo actually get approved with a date???  I am having surgery 9/27, right around the same time as you.  Maybe we can lean on each other through the journey..  Keep us informed about your actual date.  Good luck!

I am also a patient of Dr. Aranow.  I was cleared for surgery also by the nutritionist but have not yet received a date.  I told Lois I had to wait until after October 9th because the person I work with in my office is going to be on vacation for a wee****il then.  I'm hoping I'm right behind you.  Keep us posted, I will be anxious to hear how things go.  Who is your nutritionist?

Susan, I saw Liz at Dr. Aranow's office.  The visits were pretty uneventful because I have lost weight so many times (haven't we all -- and gained it back even more often!) that I knew how to follow a program -- I basically used the Weigh****chers points system.  (I've lost 25 lbs since I first saw Dr. Aranow in March and I'm trying to lose just a few more pounds before the surgery.)  Liz spent a lot of time explaining the post-op phases and that's what I'm really concerned with now.  As for my surgery date, I told Lois I just wanted the soonest possible date so I'm praying the insurance approval comes through in time.  Laurie
