Another Low Carb Store in CT
Hi Everyone,
Several weeks ago Tove posted some information for us about a Low Carb Store in Torrington.
I just wanted to let everyone know about another Low Carb store that I just found out about for those of us in Eastern CT.
Store Info:
The Green Market
17 River Road, Route 12
Lisbon, CT 06351
860-376-2765
The ad says that its Close to hwy 395 - Across from Winner Ford. (Sounds like this is the exit where the Walmart SuperCenter is.)
The ad says that they carry a huge selection of Low Carb Foods and they will special order too. From November 22nd to November 26th they are offering 10% off entire store and 20% off all vitamins.
I haven't had the chance to go check it out yet... but hopefully I'll go this weekend. I hope its as good as it sounds.
Hi Cheryl. No I didn't get to go yet, I was kind of waiting till the Dr. to forward me to solid food in which he did this past Tuesday. I'm hoping to find some low carb salad dressing or how to make some my self, so if you or anyone else has a suggestion I will be happy. I feel yuckei with the low fat creamy ceasar I use to love and it's like I crave real spicy things now. The green salad did taste good after all the time I could not have it
Hugs to all Tove
Kimberly! Thanks for the info, I might check those discount out over the weekend if the wind dies down. I also notice that they are opening one on Berlin Turnpike, they were still painting and stuff but I could tell that the name had something to do with "low carb". As soon as I know more I will post it here.
Maybe I will run into you at the store
Hugs from Tove and thanks for the info!!!
One more tidbit of lowcarb info that I just came across that I wanted to pass along:
Someone posted on the Q&A board about some frozen lowcarb dinners that they found at their grocery store. They are called Mikes Low Carb Gourmet. I done some searching and found their website at www.lowcarbgourmet.com
The meals look delicious, and good for us as far as protein and carbs go.
I hope that some of us will be able to find them locally soon. I know that I will be on the lookout for them.
Tova and Lisa,
I live in Burlington, you both sound close to me. I am always looking for people in my area that are working this surgery and like to share recipes and tips for making this surgery work for us.
Before I was worried about finding an outifit for my 30th class reunion, NOW I have to go shopping this weekend to find an outfit for an interview I have on Monday!!
As I am sure you've both seen in previous posts, I love to shop. Especially with my angelettes from this site, Kim and Cathy!! Do either of you find good deals especially around here?? I am in a 16W in pants and XL on top (or 1X) depending on the top. But I need to look for a suit jacket!! YIKES!!
Morning Cheryl. I'm not quit sure where Burlington is (except for the one in upstate New York LOL), please inlighten me, as you might know I live in Middletown.
Now to the good stuff.........SHOPPING there is this store I love on Berlin Turnpike (allmost in Weathersfield), the name of it is: A.J. Wright and they have all sizes from petite to 4X - It's namebrands for less, and you should be able to find something there. Many time they sell jacket and pants seperate. The pants should cost you about 8-20 dollars and the jacket the same.
Let me know if you find something, I am going shopping my self but that's for a new sewing machine as my old one broke down. I can't really afford it right now but I desperately need it to take some of my clothes in as I scrink. I'm real good at sewing and it's a must for me to have, especially now.
I wish you the best of luck with the shopping and with your job interview.
Big hug to you, Tove
