Hi, all, I'm in the approval phase of the WLS--in the process of switching from Yale insurance (which denied me) to Health Net (which hopefully will not). I've been working on this non-stop since July and haven't even gotten in to see a surgeon yet! In any event, I have to switch my PCP and I wonder if anyone could recommend their PCP to me? I want to choose someone who is WLS-friendly. Thanks! Sheila

Hi Sheila, My PCP is located in New London, which would be quite a drive for you... but I just wanted to say that I have Health Net and they were wonderful with approving my surgery. I have never had any problems with getting them to pay for anything. I hope that you have the same good experience with them. Kim

Hi, Sheila! My PCP is in Bridgeport (also in Shelton, I think.) He is an endocrinologist, and has been very WLS-friendly. Details, if desired . . .

Hi Sheila - My PCP is Dr Serle Epstein and he has a Nurse Practioner in the office with him, her name is Jana Siman. They have an office in Madison and when I lived in Branford that's when I found them. I mostly see Jana unless it's something severe, but they are very WLS friendly. I love their practice because its only them not a million different doctors, and I like the ability to build a rapport with A doctor, not take pot luck in those large practices. Good luck with the search! Carla
