New Support Group for SouthEastern CT

I just found out there is a new support group, for the southeastern corner of Ct! The next meeting is to be at Ocean Beach Park (Pilot-House) in New London on Wed. Nov. 19, 2003 at 6:00. I guess there are more to come and they will be at L & M Hosp. in the future. I can't go, as this date is my surgery date. But I am looking forward to meeting others in this area. Hopefully meeting some of the wonderful people that have e-mailed me or that I've read there profiles. Good luck!

Does anyone who has had the Lap Band surgery or who plans on having it plan on attending this meeting? Thanks...Kim

I went to the meeting at the Port and Starboard last month at Ocean Beach and there were people who had various versions of wls (rny, lap band). There had to have been close to 70 people if not more. It was great to see such a turn out!

This is awesome. I needed to find a meeting close.. I just don't ahve time to go all over. Now is this for banding or gastric or both?

They had both banding and gastric bypass patients (pre and post-op) there. The gentleman who organized the meeting is a gastric bypass patient and tends to want to concentrate on that version but there were several banding patients there too.
